Juadah @ Juadahs: When Malay gone Chinese~

Assalammualaikum and G’day! ๐Ÿ™‚

It has been a while since my last post. Yeah..pardon me. The first week of Ramadhan has been pretty rough for me. Being attacked by food poisoning since the very 1st day of Ramadhan and lasted for 5 days was not a cool thing. Diarrhea, vomiting, lost appetite..hungry and dehydrated, but I just cannot eat because I will throw everything out afterwards. My body got weaken..I can’t even lift up a spoon! What a test..loosing my “nikmat makan” was pretty sucks. Perhaps it was just a “not-a-very-cool” kind of process to cleanse up my digestion system, who knows? nevermind..That is why this Lesungbatto’s blog has been quiet for the last couple of weeks. The fact that I was not feeling well and I cannot eat outside while waiting for my stomach to get better and stronger.

Now this “kaki makan” has fully recovered and excited to share more food places! ๐Ÿ™‚

Is anybody here love Chinese food? I bet many of us do. The market is indeed blooming day by day. Just look at how many Chinese Muslim restaurant being opened nowadays..In Shah Alam itself, there is a lot of famous Chinese Muslim Restaurant such as Adam Lai Restaurant, Haji Shahrin Low, Mohd Chan Abdullah, Homst and of course the restaurant that I went for Iftar yesterday, the Juadahs restaurant.

It is located at Seksyen 13, Shah Alam..near the Tesco Seksyen 13 and MSU. I was there with my other 25 classmates for breaking fast. Such a big happy family…thank you Shafiq for reserving the place for us.

…and we conquered the whole space!

Customers can choose to dine inside the restaurant or outdoor area. The place is comfortable and can cater for families and big group like us. The space we got at first was a little bit small for 26 of us. We asked for a bigger space, more table and chairs from the waiters. The waiters gave a very good service by doing everything we asked and trying to make us as comfortable as possible.

We went through the menu and started to choose what we like. They smile a lot too! Most of us go for a la carte menu which the price is more “student-friendly”. :p

KURMA/dates are on the house. They are given free..so no worries! ๐Ÿ™‚

Revealing the reviews..

These are the few dishes that we ordered..

Black Pepper Beef – comes with white rice..the gravy is thick, full of black pepper taste, a little bit spicy, tasty..perfect to warm up your body and taste bud.

Sweet & Sour fish - comes with white rice too..the fish is tender, combine with fresh pineapple slices. The gravy however not my liking. It tastes too "saucy"..it is like the whole bottle of chili sauce has been used into this dish.

Golden Fried Rice - Chef's recommended. Curry powder, curry leaves, dried shrimps are few of ingredients used in this unique fried rice. Is it because or Ramadhan? The fried rice looked dry this time. Maybe the chef has cooked it way too early to avoid lateness during break fast. I'm not sure..but this dish is one of my favorite in Juadahs. Full of curry flavor!

Sizzling Yee Mee - The thickness of the gravy is perfect. Not too starchy or gluey. The taste is very rich, comes from ginger, mushroom and seafood used. Crispy Yee Mee combined with sizzling hot thick and rich gravy is simply appetizing!

Nyonya Curry Mee - Yellow noodles served in creamy thick curry withe lots of condiments like dried tofu and fishballs. The gravy has a little kick of dried shrimp taste in it..taste like homecook. a real comfort food.

Cantonese Kuey Tiaw - This is what I ordered for myself. When thinking of Cantonese, the first thing that came through my mind is a rich, thick gravy with egg, seafood/chicken and lots of vegetables. This dish came out exactly like what I expected. The kuey tiaw is stir fried with soy sauce and served with the tasteful gravy. Full of taste and delicious. All I need is my "cili potong" to complete my dish.

All dishes was not disappointing so far. Thank you guys for allowing me to taste your food and allowing me to make some reviews. To other food bloggers, I suggest you to go with a big group next time you want to some reviews. That is the way you can taste various dishes at one time. Save money, save time, more food! hehe..

Honeydew Sago Lo - Pretty much same like the Mango sago but less sweet and yeah, different fruit. The menu said honeydew but we received Rock Melon. Out of stock i guess? Nevertheless, this dessert is still delicious, fresh and mouth watering. Perfect to eat after fasting all day. Thumbs up!

The waiter later came to our table brought one more bowl of the delicious Honeydew Sago as a free treat for us. “Bonus” she said. Everybody was cheering up for that one bowl of dessert. Everybody loves the free food! haha..one small thing can really mean a lot. Thank you so very much for the hospitality, Juadahs! ๐Ÿ™‚
